Milan, Stanton, Martin. Who's going racing tonite?
Re: Milan, Stanton, Martin. Who's going racing tonite?
Milan should be open, I have a couple of friends running there tonight. I wont be there because I have to work and my car's on jackstands.
Martins open tonight, street car drags. Probably be packed though because they have a $5000 bracket race saturday & sunday. I might be there tonight, gotta get my ducks in a row

Looks like Stanton today & tonight.. See ya there. First time to the track since November when I ran the 9.90, & then busted the hell outa my rear end. Fixed all that, reduced some weight, got a better tire, & turned up the juice..
If last night was any indication, I should have a personal best today..

Re: Milan, Stanton, Martin. Who's going racing tonite?
I blew it up. Ran a 10 sec index, got out of it, then got back into it on the top end, and put a hole in the block, probably a rod.
The car was blowing right through 1st gear, or the nitrous was not activating until 2nd, for some reason. On my qualification run, I shifted way early (pre race jitters), and let out of it early (to not break out) and still ran a 9.91@132. So pretty close to a personal best, without trying. I should have stuck to test & tune & left it at that. Motor was running STRONG. Just driver error.

Not sure yet if I'm going to call it a year, or what. Open to options.

Man that sucks!
tthrew a rod ?
stock rod or aftermarket?
wtf?
Why are the stroked ls1 failing or is it the builder? Sorry I have to ask cause A few "ARE" have been short lived. Man Harold
What about a killer Motown 427 650 hp with some juice.

well so far you are following my original guess in your thread awhile back.
I took a snipit from what I posted that you were going to do this year. Well I bet your car would of run the time below if you didnt let off. Atleast I got the broken part right.
Good luck finding a good civic...j/k

This year, the car does all the talking.
What is it this year. 9.5 or bust?
I say youll do
9.65 @ 144 this year. I guess we will see if im right. Its just how much giggle you want to do.
Year 2
9.4 @ 146 since you broke it last year and decided to jet up.
Year 3
You wished you would of stayed stock back in the day with your bolt ons and stock bottom end and broke the record. Heck you also thought you could of run 200 shot and got in the 9's on a stock bottom end. That was what started it all.
You got fed up with running just nines. So instead you go straight to the 427 C5R block and go 300 shot to run a 8.4 @ 165. It only cost another $40,000 for one more second, but who the **** cares. This is racing.
Year 4
You need a parachute now. Your car isnt even streetable and you get bored with it fast.
You sell the car for $20,000. Yeah you take a loss, but you have other plans for your 4 cylinder turbo civic project thats been sitting in the back of your mind. You still have the buzzing sound of the exhaust note in your head that you dream queitly about at night.
Whens the madness going to stop!!
