Lookin for a dirt bike....

I'm either looking for a Yamaha or a Honda around $1000, or if someone is interested in trades, I have a complete LT1 procharger setup or new Jet-Hot headers I'd be willing to do as a trade..... my email is nbasic@comcast.net

My buddy is selling his 98' KX 250. I know it's not exactly what you are looking for as brand but it was bike of the year that year. It's a very awesome very powerful bike. I have the same one. It will pull a wheelie at 55 in 5th gear by just getting on the throttle, no clutching at all. Absolutely perfect condition. I think he wants around 2K though, maybe a little less. I'll ask him if your interested. Comes with matching motoX helmet and racing boots. He's only selling cause he wants to step up to a newer bike.

Yes they are definately out there. I wish I could talk him into tradin' so I could get the LT1 blower. Unfortunately I don't see him trading his dirtbike for a blower for me lol....he's got a 5.0. Get the Michigan Auto & RV magazines. They are the free ones and I saw probably about 10 different dirt bikes in the 1 grand range. Your probably gonna hafta settle for a 125cc. Which is still perfectly fun, depends on how much you weigh though. I saw quite a few 89-95 bikes for those prices. Depends on the condition and depends on the size. If you can do any motor work yourself you should be fine. Good luck.

The magazine I saw a bunch of bikes in was just this past Wednesday or so. You can find a very decent 94 or 95 125cc for around a grand. A guy we ride with sometimes just sold his 95' YZ125 in perfect condition with a new top end and new back tire for $1500 to a guy he works with. He said he would have sold it for less but that's what the guy offered him so he took it. You can find em, just shop around.
