Holley Stealth Ram = scary!

Just because I have been babying the car for the last 2 days I decided that 1 time at WOT wouldn't hurt it (since it runs rich at anything over part throttle) I decided to press the gas pedal into the carpet fibers tonight.

All I can say is that I hit 2nd gear and when that was topped out I hit 3rd and the speedo was nearing 100...... CRAZY FAST!

I wish I WISH!!! that I could go to Stanton this weekend and try it out. Maybe I'll tempt fate and try to erase my other chip and burn the right program on to it. We'll see

I have another car that I can drive until I get a new chip

Thumbs up

Isn't it funny how second gear feels like first and third feels like second used to. Gotta love it.

You guys have me feeling bad for myself since my car is still being operated on. I have no idea what to expect from my car, I'm going from about 210 HP to way more then twice that much and a buttload more torque, then I'm gonna spray it. I think it's gonna scare me

Joe you are in for a treat. I would get used to driving it without the juice first. The engine is going to rev so fast that you have to get used to it. I take it you are going for ETs in the 10.0 with juice. Hope to see your care done soon.

Sounds great! How much power do you think the new intake added? Also if you don't mind me asking how much did the whole setup cost?
Always glad to hear of fast a$$ american muscle going faster, always sad to hear of a ricer beating a camaro but I guess you won't ever see that.

Holley intake setup cost me roughly $650 TOTAL for all fittings. This is including the braided steel hose and -6AN fittings (which totaled $120 by themselves, the hose and fittings that is)

The intake setup was $507 shipped to my door from Summit.

I'm gonna order some EPROMS tonight and see if I can get a few burned sooooooon. It runs rich and rich = less power

Might be a good ideal to leave it rich for the supercharger or NOS.

I know how you feel!
When I raced my friend, we always agree- nothing stupid.

well i'm on it, goin pretty fast so i dont stare at the speedo too often. look down and see the RPMs at 4500 or so

I thought "bah, theres no way i'm in 3rd already"

look down again and Speedo was almost burried!

Where is my powerband? I think it starts at 4000 RPM and pulls past 6000.... unfortunately my motor wasn't built for that.

This motor combo is quite the canundrum.

Perhaps a cam swap is in my future.

Hell yeah Brad, grab a used cam if ya have to! See if Tom(Case) still has his 236/242 extreme energy roller comp cam. That would rock on the top end

Got on the highway tonight and stomped it up the onramp... it was crazy... not as fast as I would like the car to be but I think that my cam is ALLLLLL wrong for this application.

You need something in the 224/540 range. I have a 219/525 with 1.5 rockers and it kicks in about 2500 before the supercharger install. I had a 2400 stall converter but that is a little to low. I need a 300 stall. When the supercharger is done it may change to 2600 to 2800 because of the increased TQ. I hope it works better anyway.
Again if I were you with the induction system you have 224/540 would be a great choice. Just my .02
