FAWK! Need a Cage! Can Anyone help me Weld in Cage?

As you guys have noticed, the bumper supports are rocked. They need to come off and I need to takem off. I dont feel safe driviing like that so I'm going to order a Cage.

Can anyone lend me their welding talents for a few hours?

Thanks

So instead of new bumper supports you're just getting a cage?

we are planning on taking the whole bumper off-

no bumpers = no impulse distribution = :death:

its MUCH safer than having bumpers. think about it
most circle track guys done even have bumpers and use a cage. they wreck CONSTANTLY

Wreck + cage + no helmet = :death:.

If this is a street car, wear your helmet to the grocery store.

Trey,

Need to add my $ .02 on this one.

You are right about the bumper supports being there for
energy absorbtion, but by eliminating the core support and
adding a cage you eliminate the chance for the car to
absorb energy and YOUR BODY absorbs any impact energy.

A cage will help stop the passanger compartment from
collapse, but a more ridgid structure means the energy
has to go somewhere. The energy will be transfered right
to you!

I think your effort would be better spent repairing the bumper
support structure, then replace the bumper support. IMHO.
