Once the engineers figure out how to give us good performance in a car that is not a death trap I might look at one.
In one of my Ward's Auto World magazines they had an article on an electric car that would do 124 mph.

Everyone will be driving them once they can package the power cells smaller. They have a better 60 foot than your stock f/body. They have gotten around the top speed problem of 60 mph. Now they have gotten around 200 miles to a recharge. One of the biggest problems is recharge time and building a smaller cell to cut weight. Once that is done you will see alot more of them on the roads. Just a fact because you won't have to depend on oil from other nations.
I just hope they don't outlaw gas engine and make it against the law to own one after the electric car has been around a few years. There was a movie about that about 25 years ago.
