Anyone have a used air conditioner for casement style windows. Cannot find them anywhere. Looking for maybee a used one. Something with 10-12k btu

good luck. I have been in construction for 15 years an I don't think I have EVER seen a window air conditioner for a casement window. Might be time to look into the free standing room air conditioners or central a/c. Depending on the house, I have seen people install a window A/C right in the wall. In fact that's what I am doing in my garage. But I need at least a 17k btu unit for that. Not something I'd do in my house, but I have seen MANY people do it...businesses included.

So do you need one that is taller than it is wide? Give me some demensions. I know where one is at and i can see if it will work. Steven

I have one in my basement, actually. It's designed for casement windows. Last time I checked, it worked fine. Pretty darned heavy though! I'll have to check to see if I still have the frame for it, since I last used it in a double-hung window with custom wooden frame.

PM me if interested in coming out & picking it up. I'll look up the specs but I think it's a 10000 unit. It takes two people to lift: Its approx 100 lb.
