I want a posi 4th gen rear end for my 3rd gen. Anyone have one for a decent price?

we might be selling dads 02 rear axle if I can helpit. the new motor combo is goin to make me wonder how long a stock rear axle will hold up. it has 3:73 gears in it though that came on his car from Mecham as part of the package. the car only has 6K on it. and though its got around 30runs at the strip of the past several years, its never really hooked up yet. 2.0's is the best 60's and the motor was stock except for the full exh. system previously. anyways this "might" be for sale in early spring. PM me in spring if you havent bought anything yet. I wont know for a while if he'll get his 9" this spring or next year.

 

Pulling the stocker out of my brother's 99 ta really soon, it's a 2.73 gear rear end, but he'll probably sell it pretty cheap

dad has one in our basement out of hios 02 SS rear has maybe 2000 miles on it. also has 4.11 gears stuffed in it. i think he wanted 200 or 250 for it.

 

does it have the brakes on it too? also do you have the stock gears also? Im very interested please get back to me.

 

i dont think he has the stock gears anymore. and ill have to go look at it to see if the brake lines are still there.

 

you looking for 3:42 gears instead of the 4.10's? if so I'll sell you my rear axle out of my 95(its currently sitting under my 86Iroc, loosly bolted in just for moving purposes) it has about 60K miles on it, swaped it out when I built the 383 for my 95. I had a 3:73 posi rear in my iroc before from a 4 gen that I put under my 95. the 95 was a 14.4 sec. car at that time, and only took it to the track 2 times like that.

 

that actually exactly what im lookign for. And im going to bolt it in my 92. what ya looing to get for it?

 

what ever I can get the 4:10 rear from 97SS for. dont want to sell it, but if I can get a good condition 4.10 in exchange,then fine. but the 4.10 has to be in good shape too.

 

Im confused you gunna sell me your with 3.42s or not?
