I dunno but I sure would like to borrow (or rent) one.

Im def. goin to buy one, so stay in touch dan. :) will be renting it out. as well as rolling fenders for people for cash. we'll have to see after I use it how long it takes to do and all.

Black Sunshine/ 00SS 05-21-2007 09:44 AM

I have big hammer that will do the job...

IrocSS85 05-21-2007 01:58 PM

yeah I know, Ive done that before, but its not anywhere near as quality at the real deal. this way ther's no worry of messing up the outside sheetmetal, it'll end up way smoother then you could ever get it with a hammer too. for my iroc thats just fine. but not for dads 6000 mile TA.

AutoRoc 05-21-2007 06:51 PM

The paint will still crack, I just did the hammer mod myself.:D

IrocSS85 05-21-2007 07:34 PM

well, Im goin to cut it with a razor in hopes that it will stay inside the wheel wheel. I know the paint is comeing off the lip that goin to be bent in. for the most part I just want to keep every part of dads car in A+ shape, and cut no corners.

most people heat the paint with a heat gun while rolling it and have no issues with the paint lifting

IrocSS85 05-25-2007 11:13 PM

well I sure hope not.

Do you have the Eastwood fender roller now?

IrocSS85 09-09-2007 09:00 PM

yeah, I ended up buying a new one. its for rent if you wanted to rent it.

BMoney 09-09-2007 10:40 PM

how much to rent it? and how much for you to do my car?

IrocSS85 09-10-2007 06:29 AM

$50 to rent it. plus a deposit of $200 you'll get back when the tool gets back safe and sound.
hmm, dont REALLY want to do anyone else's car. atleast, dont think i want to do anyone else's car. problem is, there's potential of peeling paint. and I def. aint getting into repainting anyones car to try to make a few bucks. know what I mean? it aint that hard, just very time consuming to do it safely. guess I could do it at work (pontiac dealership in farmington hills), but it'll cost you 4 hours at $65/hr. if I got it done in less time, Id charge you the appropriat time. I do tons of work for people, and Im not in it for the money. just trying to get enough to cover my time though.
def. no time to do it at home where I usually do my performance work.

what rims/tires offset are you running? I didnt need to do my camaro with 15x10 7.5" with et street's on there (26x11.5) but your proly running taller tire and maybe wider?
it took a couple hours a side to do my dads TA, but I was being VERY careful about it cause his car has 6K miles on it, and its a show car. and its black so anything would show. wavy metal or messed up paint would be very bad. but there was only 2 very tiny spots where the paint lifted off the metal, and its only on the inside, near the edge of the sheetmetal.
if your interested eitherway let me know.
chris

I have the same size rim, but am running a 325 MT drag radial (28-13.50 ET street) I just noticed on my passenger side that the lip has kinda sliced my tire a little when launching, so I wanted to nip that in the bud!

IrocSS85 09-10-2007 03:16 PM

yeah, your tires are alot wider and taller. dads cut his first street up badly just driving it around cause those F'n convo pro's are not the proper backspacing. but anyways, just let me know if you want to rent it, or have me do it. like I said, if I can beat that time Id charge you however long I actually spend up to 4hours max charge. just let me know man.
