I need a 4th gear synchronizer put in my 1997 Z28 T-56. If anybody would like to make some extra money and do it for me I would appreciate it very much. I cannot afford transmission shop prices. I live in Lansing, MI. So I am looking for somebody in Michigan. Thanks!

 

check out D & D. they have the best prices by far for t56 tranny's. theyre in wixom, right near the wixom ford plant if you know where that is. or wixom road and 96W. maybe an hours drive for you.

the only problem with D&D is that you have to take the transmission out and deliver it or ship it to them, and they take a little over a week to get it back to you. they did an AWESOME job on mine though.

 

I did my 3rd gear synch myself. Got the parts from D&D. They are very cool people. If you have access to a hydraulic press I say go for it and do it yourself.

 

I work in Okemos and can rebuild this for you with D&D parts if wanted. New steel 3-4 fork ($50) and carbon fiber blocker rings ($200) and whatever else is broken or worn. Call me if interested, not on website too often. 517-294-1879.
