Summit Racing's New Store

Wow, I just got back from Summit Racing and they've opened up their new showroom. It's 5 to 10 times larger than their old showroom and its got alot more stuff on display. Alot of chevy and ford heads, intakes, rotating assemblies, guages and rims. They have a small section for the import crowd and I have a feeling that it will grow because thats the only side of the store that was packed. I guess thats where the money is today. I wish they had more LT1 stuff on display though

So next time any of you are in Akron and the vicinity you should swing by there and check it out.

I was just there again tonight and they had moved the 1000hp Mustang from the display in the window to the middle of the show room floor. The hood was open and the top was down so you could get a better look.

It has a electronic fuel injected supercharged 525CID ford big block and a huge custom sheet metal intake. Couldn't really see the exhaust but the rest of the car and the interior looked pretty much stock. With the hood shut you'd never know that it was that powerful.

The funny thing is they also had a sport compact Chevy Cavalier also on the show room floor (rice car) and you could not get near it. All the rice boys were standing around it and only maybe one or two people by the mustang. The Cavalier looked like it has a stock motor except for the usual custom air intake. I guess its not how much power you have any more but what style shift **** and pedals you got.

Ya that new showroom is sweet. Waswa, I think the roll cage would give the Stang away tho.

I pass it everyday b/c it is on the way to the GFs house. Can't help but take a look inside. One question. I did stop in there only once for a brief moment to check the new store out. Is there still a clearance room? That room always had some bargains. I got a brand new 52mm TB for $178 BBK that retails over $300. I made a nice little profit on it.

That't the last thing I want for two reasons. One, I'll spend way too much $$$ there every weekend, and two, the stuff will be taxed.

I was just there a few days ago. It is a lot nicer than there old store. I didn't see the mustang in there though, but thats ok I got a good look at it at Super Summit last year.

That cavalier in the front window is turbo charged, borla exhaust, intake, nice rims but not enough brake. I had an import that is how I want it to be, very nice for a cavalier.

I was kinda dissapointed that they didn't have more LT1/LS1 stuff on display, but I guess they just don't make enough off of it compaired to the imports.
