You haven't given enough info. What year is the hood for? What color was it painted? Was the entire hood painted? How much? Is the hood an actual GM OEM hood, or an aftermarket unit?

 

sorry bout that.... the hood is for 98-02 camaro i'm looking to get around $650 for it... its an original OEM SS hood in perfect condition

the color is chameleon..... its harlequin purple to blue... it can be sanded down is spots and leave some of the chameleon for a sick design or if you want sand the whole thing down and paint it a solid color

Do you have an address, I don't cares whos it is, just within say 25miles of you. I am plugging this info into MapQuest to see how far of a drive I would be involoved in. It maybe to far to go for me.

Wow, we are talking 490miles(talking atleast $100 in gas, then rental truck) and 8.5 hrs driving time. I will have to discuss this with my fiance and see if its possible to make the trip. If so I could jump down to Rapid Motprsports in Reading, Pa to pick up a torq arm too. Would you take $525.00 cash, the hood will require extra time to prep since its already painted? By chance do you have the original bos it came in? It would be kind of tough to get it 490 miles with out any damage. I'll check and see if i can rent a tahoe or suburban(wonder if it'll fit in the back doors? Do you have an OEM hood grill for the scoop?

 

ok i'll take $550 and yea it still has the grill its in chrome its nice looking.... i don't have a box for it but i'll ask around and see if someone has a box. i'll try some body shops

 

Cool, can you get a measurement of the dimensions on the hood? I will measure my 99 SS's hood when I get home tonight. i have a Minivan but i don't know if itll fit or not. I have gotten a price on a Ford Excusion Truck for rental but itll cost me $100.00 per day +fuel.

 

I think this may be out of my range by the time I am done($550 hood, $375 for rental, $100 fuel at least and then another $200-$300 paintwork)... My price for a brand new one at my local dealer is $1250.00. By the time I get your's I am into about $1025.00. Throw another $200-$300 paint work at both and I am saving about $200.00 for a used hood. I would recommend someone closer to you should consider this hood, or maybe somethat has their own large truck. Iwill measure my hood though and see if it'll fit in my minivan, if so that would save me about $300 there. If I could use my van I may considerthis further. I will let you know.
