E-Town EFI shootout 10/23

Anybody going to the EFI shootout this Saturday at Raceway Park? I plan to run in the EFI race in the morning and then stay for the Real Street race that night.

Well, since I'm getting new drag radials tomorrow (Thursday), I guess I'll have to force myself down to the track on Saturday and try them out.

Brian says I have to a "John Force" burnout with them to break them in. I need someone to take my photo when I do that.

The adiction has set in. First 3.42 gears, drag radials, next a lt1 stroker..... in just doesn't stop. I can see it now, oh golly Carol, I only went to the track 3 times last week. You know if I don't race my RT will get rusty. hahahhahah. no wait that's me.

Yeah... I was told, but did I listen? Noooo...

So the new rubber is on the recently bought spare rims and I just finished taking the stock wheels off and putting the new wheels on. That will make it three times in a week that I have changed the rear set of tires.

Jim, I'm thinking headers, electric cut-out, new exhaust this winter.
and then, and then....

Yo Bri, what time are we meeting up at W.Wilson rest stop?

The mods just keep going, and going, and going......

I can remember 4 years ago when I said I'll only put some exhaust on it and that will be plenty for me Now I cant even drive mine on the street

Ron, I'm planning on leaving her about 730 ish. That should put me at the rest stop at about 8. sound good?

Re: E-Town EFI shootout 10/23

I didn't stay for the RS night session. I was too busy winning the final round in the EFI race. Finally got a gold sticker I wasn't cutting good lights but I was staging very well and killing on the top end. The car ran perfectlly all day. My 60' in the last 3 rounds was identical. I didn't get any bye runs but did get 2 luckey round wins. Time to pull the drag radials off and put the car away for winter. Next time out will be March 2005.

Re: E-Town EFI shootout 10/23

Yo Jim... bigs congrats on your win!!!

I have to work on finding the brake pedal... since I lost my second elim with a .008 breakout. Bahahaha... but I was having too much fun running better times and higher mph with the brand new drag radials.

Can't make next week end, F-bods vs Mustangs.

Probably be back down for the Trophy Marathon in Nov.

Again, big Congrats to ya Jim!!!

Re: E-Town EFI shootout 10/23

Way to go Jim! Glad to hear you did well... I was a little late getting out of there at 4:30 but I somehow manages to get home by 6 and make it to the supprise party.

I gave my second round away. I killed the guy on the tree and past him before the 1/8... but I knew I was going home anyway so I just ran it out hard and broke out. Gave the win to the other guy. I figured why ruin his day when I had to leave win or loose. Ran a new best since the bar was installed. 12.06@111

BTW, I went to Atco today to test some deep staging... first time I redlighted -.010 But I tried it again anyway and its working good. .012 GREEN!!!!!!! woohoo!!!

Guess I need to start deep staging to cut good lights
