are they open? is it usually crowded or empty if open?

 

Yes, they are open. Gates open at 4:30pm. I have never been there the Friday after Thanksgiving. I was there on the Saturday after TG a few years ago and it was empty. It was close to freezing outside so I think that had something to do with it!
