I thought the 93 through 94 had hardened rods, and only some of the 95 LT1 cars?

Take a file to one of them. If the teeth just slide across they are hardened. If the teeth dig in and cut, they aren't.

Re: Which year LT1 came with hardened pushrods?

I have a 94 motor im switching out for a 95, should i put the 94's pushrods in the 95? 94 has 133k miles and 95 only has 58k. Would it be worth it since im not buying new ones atm?

Re: Which year LT1 came with hardened pushrods?

No...you don't need them with a stock motor! That would be way too much trouble!

Im asking because im wondering if I should replace mine. Only time the strength of the push rod is an issue is when it comes to mis-shifts correct?
