Y2K 17 x 11's {5 thin spokes}???
....does anyone know anyone who sells the Y2K wheels in 11 x 17? or who is qualified to widen my rims to 11" wide {they are now 9.5 x 17 Y2K's}??? Thanks

Bill...
I've got 17x9.5 on all four corners, as I could not give up the idea of rotating the tires as needed. I could find 17x8 and 17x9 Y2k rims all day long, but had to mail order the 9.5" out of CA.
With that said, I think you'd be better off searching for general 17x11 issues as they're all the same (with the same offset, of course)
What is the difference in the contact patch between 9.5" wide and 11" wide-compatible tires..? It may not be worth the practical difference, unless you're all about looks.
Best o' luck..

...yes, I also have 4 9.5" x 17 rims {I got 'em from Performance Wheel in California, same place as you?}, but anyway I want to get 315/35/17 tires so hence the 11" rims. From what I've read on the auto cross/road racing forum the 315 tires have to go on 11" wide rims and I LOVE the look of the Y2K Vette rims. They say that this is the largest size that will fit our cars. I'm wanting to get into road racing {on the track} so thats why the 11" rims & 315 tires. I see in Performances advertisment that they have the ZR1 rims in 11 x 17 but I like the Y2K rims better. Anyway, thats what I'm up to.... Thanks for your reply.... Bill ... Oh, I've called a bunch of wheel shops but to no avail....
