Wow, I should be able to have some fun with that considering my heads flow 264@.500 and at .550 they're at 272/210. That cam is becoming more and more enticing every day.

Did you have the heads milled at all?? How was the piston to valve clearance?

So Basically in the end, the best cam for stock heads is no the CC306 but enen if you install this with the future notion of getting the heads done it is the best cam to run. Right?

Does anybody have a dyno Graph of the 306. Alot of people say that its a weak cam down low but still compared to a stock car the low end still has to be considerabely mor Right?

I just noticed this thread . My car is a lightweight car because that is just one of 2 ways to go fast. 1 being hp and 2 being weight. My car makes decent hp but I don't believe that the average guy realizes that you have to maximize your suspension also. I run 1.48 shortime with 25#'s of air in my tires and that may be a streetcar record also Its all about combo I would bet that if some of you heavyweights would lighten up your cars you would run into traction problems. Saint I haven't heard from you for a while. I made 331 rwhp thru a 12bolt rear and unlocked Vig3200. Both of those rob hp but I think 331 is fair # for an automatic car. Frank95z

According to Desktop Dyno, the best cam for stock LT1 heads is 206/237 on a 113 ls. That will give you the most bottom end torque and top end power.

I don't know how accurate the program is but cams with huge splits between intake and exhaust make the most amount of torque. Like the CC306(230/244) Crane 210/224 and TPIS 225/240 with 114 or greater lobe speration. regardless if your heads are ported or not. The XE grinds only have 6 degrees of seperation.

But like I said, I don't know how accurate the program is.

THat makes sense though when you think about it. I dont know anything about Desk Top Dynos programs though. Stupid Queston which way does the LSA increase like 113 and up 115 or the other way 113 to 110. Which LSA is more beneficial to make TQ and HP on again well say a CC306.

thanks,
