XE 224/230 on stock heads?

I know its another cam quesiton, but i've searched and have not found exactly the questions I want answered. How does this cam work with stock heads? Also, this is my daily driver. I will have a stall converter by then, and my mods are in my sig. How is the driveablility with this cam? And one last question, how does this cam to the CC305 or lt4 hot cam in terms of idle quality? I want the car to idle somewhat smooth. I have LT1 edit too, so tuning is not a problem.

Also, can the cam be ground on a 114 lsa, or is this not a good idea?

Thanks in advance,

JJ

I have it with mildly ported heads, stock valves, it lopes nice, doesnt sound like you have to rev it to keep it running, just sounds awesome, its not programmed yet, i think that will smooth it out a little bit. The torque down low is just sweet, right at 2grand I have more than my tires can handle in 2nd and 3rd gear, without programming mind you. Ive heard it performs really good with stock heads, but so does any other cam, its like any other mod, gives you hp, but works best when you do something else. Unless you are against porting your heads, do it. its ten times easier to pop the heads off than it is to put a cam in. Just handport them and you will see a lot more out of that cam.

Great cam, mild with lots of bottom end but pulls to about 6300 with my heads. Slight lope, runs on stock tune but to get the most a tune is required.
