wires melting again...???...

wires melting again...???...

just replaced my plug wires because my car wasnt running right....now it seems to be acting the same way again. one wire was melted through last time and hoping it hasnt happened again. anyone else have this happen multiple times?

my brothers blazer has that problem, only after like 5000 miles, mabe less idk but it is because of arching, he bought another set of bosch plugs and a employee game him some king of paster to put on the boot, that resists arching.

It'll happen again and again if they're not routed properly. Are you sure it's not touching the manifolds/headers?

get some heat shields for the wires. they have some that slide right over the boot.

made sure they werent touvhing header when i put them on need to check again. thought bout heat wrapping the headers at the top or head shield somehow. hope ny new MSD wires just arent screwed already
