windshield wipers won't park

Just bought a '95Z. The wipers work great on all settings (delay, low, high), but they won't go all the way down into park. Also, even with the switch off I can grab them and move them across the windshield. When they're almost all the way to one side the mtoor will start up and power them the rest of the way and back down (but still not into the park position).

any ideas?

I was hoping there was a switch or something I could fix/clean/replace instead of the whole motor since it works fine otherwise.

There's a 'circuit board' screwed to the actual WW motor that is the prob.. [but I don't think you can buy that seperately..]
I got a used WW motor[ with that board still on it] on here maybe 6 months ago for about 25 bux.. cleared that 'non parking' prob..

Its not a circuit board that makes the wipers park. I was told that and went a got a motor for nothing. What has happen is that there is a latch that has gotten bent in the wiper assembly. Once the wiper rotates after you turn them off the latch is suppose to catch the arm that controls the wipers. Once its bent it passes the spot to park and rest at top. Once its past the stop position at the bottom it locks itself to park at the top.

I discovered this once I remove my motor to put the new one in from doing the same thing.. You got two options. Buy the whole assembly off ebay or something or remove yours and bend the latch to catch the arm. You will have to reload the latch because it is spring loaded and is locked to make the wipers stop at the top. Just reload it and they will stop at the bottom. Once you get the motor out you will see what Im talking about.

It's the "motor cover" that has the electronics.

The non-parking issue necessitates the replacement of the motor. Find one on ebay for about $30 and you're set.

LT1s with wiper problems never My car and Lt1power car do some weird stuff with wipers, like you turn it off and they just go to the top position and stop. Then eventually come back down on their own.
