will this timing chain work?????

i bought the Lt4 hot cam kit recently and figured i needed a new timing chain so i went to summit racing and ordered this. i was told that this is not going to work i just want to check with you guys first. The part number for summt is CLO-9-131

It says it's for a chrysler small block.. so I'm gonna go with no, won't fit

I'll second that.. Pick up a Extreme Duty set or run to autozone and get a stock replacement.. Make sure you get the whole kit though.. Crank gear, cam gear and chain.. You'll be safer that way replacing it all..

You don't need the expensive LT1-LT4 timing set if you switch to an electric water pump. The money saved pays for the new WP.

Even if you dont go with the electric water pump. A stock replacement should be fine I've heard of many people using A stock replacement without issues even with heads/cam and all the bolt ons. But the electric water pump is definately a great thing, and then you can get the cloyes double roller timing chain.
