Will these pushrods work for me?

I just picked up NIB Comp Magnum 1 piece 5/16 7608-16 pushrods for $60! But now I am wondering if they will work with Comp Pro Mag 1.6 NSA RRs. I have the guideplates, studs, 918s etc.

Help?

Sean

Are they hardened pushrods, and what length?

If you haven't done any head work or had the deck blocked you should be fine. Milling the head, thinner head gaskets and decking the block will surely affect the pushrod length. 7.2 is the stock length. If it really bothers you, put it in and use a weak spring to see how the rocker rides on the valve tip. You'll want a nice narrow patch on the valve like this:

I am more worried about material than anything. Heads have never been off.

They are hardened, if that's what you mean.

Those will work with guide plates, no problem. Why are you changing from the stoockers?

I am replacing everything else in the valvetrain when I do the RRs. And I will need them when I do the cam in a few months.
