Hey guys. I just have a quick question here. I have a K&N cai as of right now. However it is kind of ugly and big and I just want something more appealing. I was thinking, I could just buy one of those GEN 2 cold air intakes off of ebay and then ditch the elcheapo filter that comes with it and stick my K&N filter on it. Wouldnt one set up like this actually pull it more air bc the aluminum tube is more straight and doesnt have that big balloon look in the middle of it like the K&N tube peice. Let me know what u think. Also, will my K&N filter fit on the end of one, it is just the basic K&N filter that comes with the cold air intake. Thanks, Dustin.

 

I (sort of) did the same thing. Bought the pipe piece (with filter) off of eBay, pulled their filter off and put a K&N on.

If you have questions you could ask the seller the tube dimensions, and then go from there. It'll probbaly be 3" and your filter flange will probably be around 3" ID.
