will a bad opti through a Knock sensor circut code?
 

I still have a SES light and have yet to figure out what it is!!
the scan said knock sensor circut and all levels of voltage and resistance have been check and were ok, the mecanic said that he thinks that it could be the opti and the computer is decting a misfire as knock???
it seems to make sense to me, what do you guys think??

If the knock sensor was detecting a misfire as "knock", the PCM would be pulling timing. Do you have any knock retard showing up on a scanner? The DTC for the knock sensor isn't triggered because it is picking up knock, its triggered by the circuit not having the correct voltage. Could be an intermittent fault with the wire.

I have to ask him and find out because I am work and he calls me when he finds something, I had a burnt wire and he changed it but the ses light was still there.
