Hello my name is jesus and im new to this forum. I have a 1997 ss and thy are selling my a 95 lt1, will that motor run with my computer and harness

The 95 LT1 does not have the crankshaft position sensor, which the 97 does have. As a result, you will get a code for the missing sensor, but the engine will still run. The CKP sensor was added in 1996 to meet the OBD-2 requirement for misfire detection. There is also an EVAP system vacuum detection switch on the passenger side valve cover of the 97 that will have to be transferred to the 95 engine, to avoid codes for the EVAP system.
If you decide to swap the CKP sensor from the 97 to the 95 engine you will need to transfer the timing cover, the sensor in the timing cover, the reluctor wheel on the nose of the crankshaft, the woodruff key for the CKP reluctor and crank sprocket, and use the crank hub from the 97 since it has to be shorter to allow the reluctor wheel to fit.
Also check the AIR pump components, because one or both of the engines may have had the "AIR pump recall" modifications done to it.
