widest slick/tire that can fit on salad shooter?
 

what is the widest/tallest slick i can fit on a salad shooter? what about DR?

I think 11.5 is the widest you're going to get as far as Mickey Thompsons go.

I have 26x11.5x16 ET Streets.

As for Drag Radials, I know the BFG does the 255/50/16 and Nitto does the 245/50/16, but I don't know about the WIDEST drag radial.

those fit on salad shooters? i thought salad shooters are 16x8? does it take a special install or anything?

The 26x11.5x16 ET Streets work nice. I was able to get consistent 60' times in the high 1.5's with them on "salad shooters" with an M6. Drag radials aren't quite as good, but you can use them on the street. ET Streets, in spite of the name, are not street tires. No how, no way. They are ok for an occasional good weather cruise. But they wear very quickly, have no sidewall (brush a curb and they are history), obviously are treacherous in the rain, and do not handle well in emergency manuvers/high speed corners (again due to the flimsy sidewall).

It is recommended that at most you vary by 1" plus or minus between tire and rim size. The ET Street series is measured for sidewall width, the actual footprint width on a 26" x 11.5" x 16" ET Street is: 9.7" and Mickey Thompson recommends a 10" rim size. I do kno fellows who mount them on stock salad shooters and have not had any problems. They are intended to be run with tubes and rim screws, but again I know people who have not done this and have not had any problems.

For myself, I prefer to stay with the manufacturer's recommendations when I am travelling over 100mph and trying to win races. ;)
