where to weld cut out?
 

Where on my flowmaster cat back should i have the cut out welded?

To summarize though, I had it welded on the intermediate pipe right where the other guy's pictures show, but I lost some ground clearance and ended up hitting a raised manhole cap with it, so I had it relocated to the location shown in the 2nd reply.

Don't know about the other thread just mentioned, but I put mine in the intermediate pipe right before it goes over the axle. Where I put it, there is just enough room to angle it sideways (dumping out the passenger side), so I lost no ground clearance; you can't even tell it's there.

i had mine in the same spot before the axle for 2 years without any scrapping.

i suggest maybe buying a turndown so that you can direct the exhaust away from the frame and axle

When i do mine im going to install it right before the muffler input. It sounds good, and its VERY easy access.:D

Do you have any pics of what that would look like? Thats where i was thinking of putting mine but i haven't seen anybody else do it there so i wasn't sure if there would be a problem.
