Where to mount Digital-6

I'm thinking of getting a Digital-6 for my Z28 so I can pull timing for my NX setup. I would like input toward the the best place to mount it. I have a MSD 6A on my driver side inner wheel well just in front of where the fuel lines enter the engine bay. I think a Digital-6 is too big to fit there.

Thanks,
Matt

The intructions say not to mount it there. I see other people have mount theirs where I have my 6A, but I also have my window switch there too, so it won't fit. Also, If I mount it inside the car, where does everyone pass the wires thru the firewall?

I have an SS with the oem CAI, so there is an open space below the fuse box on the driver's side that is horizontal and offers plenty of space that is even air cooled. The box fits fine. I've had my Dig6+ there since 2/99.

I mounted my Mallory box in the trunk area, plenty of space and plenty of ventilation.

The Dig6 has more bells and whistles, none of which I have used over the years. I can't say the Dig6 is effectively any better than the 6al. Just use your 6al.

the biggest benefit of the dig-6 over the 6al is the dig-6 uses dials to adjust rev limiter and timing retard rather than a rpm module. It also includes timing retard abilities where the 6al does not have it built in. You can buy an independat retard module that will work with the 6al though.
