Re: Where can I get a new or rebuilt wiring harnesses for our cars

Tried counting connectors but realized vendors don't post exact part pictures. Counted close to the same though. I would have to contact Howell's before purchase - which is common practice for a $700 purchase for me.

Thanks for the reference to Howell's LT1 FI guide as I've been on the border to purchase for long time. I think Howells sold another publication also but don't see it on they're w/s.

The Howell document I was referencing is entitled “Howell Engine Development, Inc. - Service Manual for Corvette, Firebird, Camaro LT1 & TPI”. You can get most of that info for free in a download of the factory service manual for your specific year. The Howell document incorporates a lot of factory manual pages. And what they did was mix sheets from 93 and later years,. Don’t know if they ever updated it. Last reference is to 1996 LT1. The first 20 pages (out of 103) appear to be system descriptions they condensed from the factory manual.

If you really want detailed info, the best reference available is “Corvette Fuel Injection & Electronic Engine Management” by Charles Proust. It even has a GM part # 12497977, in addition to the ISBN # 0-8376-0861-9. His info on the Opti has extensive detail not available elsewhere.

I have a complete harness and ecm from a 95 lt1 from a swap I bought where the guy had it in a jaguar. I literally have no use for it if you want it. I’ll do $400 if interested

Update--Received my new harness from BP Automotive. Ordered it on 3-27-19, received it 6-10-19. They told me 8-10 weeks so that's about right. Looks good--wires are labeled to help install. In the process of installing now.

Good to know! I will keep them in mind for the future as my wiring harness will need complete replacement in the future. Thank you.

Re: Where can I get a new or rebuilt wiring harnesses for our cars

This fall, I completely changed the wiring on my car , it was all ruined and I had to spend a lot of time looking for normal masters who can do it. I myself do not understand anything almost in the repair of cars, but my brother is engaged in this and he gave my car to the [spam link deleted by moderator] and completely changed all the wiring for me, but they said that due to the fact that the car is really quite old - I need to continue to be more careful especially in the cold season and monitor the condition of the car as I did not particularly grieve before its repair, this was my mistake

Odd.... your IP shows you are in Miami. The electric company you basically linked an advertisement for is in St. Louis, and while it is an electrician, they do not show any evidence of doing automotive wiring work - just residential and commercial. Why did you post that link?

Help us out here - what year and model is your car? What do you mean by “did not grieve before it’s repair”? Strange choice of words. Did you change chassis wiring, or engine harness wiring?

Sure looks like SPAM.
