Whats this trouble code mean?
P1133 ho2s1
Insufficient Switches (Bank 1 Sensor 1) Im quite certain it is refering to the o2 sensor. But what exactly does it mean? |
When the PCM is in closed loop, the PCM responds to the O2 sensor signal by constantly switching the fuel calcs to run very slightly richer (14.65:1) than stoichiometric (14.7:1) and slightly leaner (14.75:1) than stoichiometric. That seems to allow the cat(s) to work best. In response, the O2 sensors should be switching rapidly back and forth between rich (8xxmV) to lean (1XXmV). Your pre-cat sensor on the drivers side isn't responding. Its just sitting in one place and putting out a relatively fixed mV signal. Sign of a lazy sensor.
Switch the right and left pre-cat sensors and see if the problem follows the sensor (sensor problem) or stays on the driver's side (wiring, ground, etc.). |
Thanks for the explination. Thats kinda what I thought it was. But the exlplination cleared it all up. Time to switch em. THANKS!
