What's the best oil for a 96 Z28 with 100 000 miles
I want to do an oil change in a few days and I wanted to know which oil would suit me best (96 Z28, minor mods: exhaust, Hypertech PPII, MAF, 52mm TB, K&N). I want the lowest friction for performance, but i heard of those high mileage oils which is the best oil performance wise, considering that my car already has 100 000 miles on it. Price is not important I just want the oil, that gives me the best performace.

You will get all kinds of answers to this question. I myself have a 96 Z with a rebuilt motor with 117,xxx miles and i go with havoline 5/30 or 10/30, whatever I have. I believe as long as you use a 5/30 10/30 or somethign close and change it regularly, there shouldnt be any problems. I do mine every 3k because I dont mind doing it. Somebody else will say somethign different, but thats my opinion anyways.

Lots of differing opinions on this topic so here is mine, Valvoline high mileage in 10/40 weight. I have 147k on my 94 and it keeps the little leaks at bay.
