What yr and model Caddies had the LT1?

I need another car.

Looking at a Dakota, Volvo 850 Turbo, Cadillac STS, and Cadillacs with the LT1.

What yr and model Caddies had the LT1? 1994 De Ville? Fleetwood?

It would be total news to me if there was one at all . I know road masters, caprice, and impalas ahd them. You can use the ECMs out of certain year Caddies that i know.

Hands down i would take the Caddy STS out of the cars you mentioned. They ride very nice and have good power. Than again im a truck type of guy, but dont care for the dokotas, and or the 318/360. Good motors but no freaking power.

Yes, the B-body Caddies had them. Obviously '94-'96 Fleetwoods had them. Not sure of other years or body styles.

The Cadillac Fleetwoods (?) that were built on the same platform as the Carpice, Roadmaster, etc. have LT1s similar to the one in the Impala. I don't know what years, though.

Yes the fleetwoods had them, but they were some significant differences from the fbody and vette lt1s. I'd forget about the lt1 caddies and just go for the STS, my dad has one and it's awesome.

Damn, my bad for inferring that Grip was drunk, stoned, or otherwise high as a kite when he asked :P. I never heard of these at all, and thought I had heard most all LT1 related over the years . Old addage, "Ya' learn something new every day"

Show me proof of any 94-96 Fleetwood ever having the L99. That was only available in the Caprice sedan.

The 94-96 Fleetwood did in fact have the LT1 just like the impala SS. They even had an optional 3.42 gear ratio compared to the 3.08 or 2.93 gears available in the other LT1 cars.

These are VERY nice cars! It is rear wheel drive unlike the STS. These are considered D-bodies (compared to B-body for Caprice) because the stretched chassis. MOST of the mods available for the impala will work for the Fleetwood. The rear ABS is different and it requires a longer driveshaft (duh) but almost everything else is the same underneath.

I would strongly recommend one of these. If you do get one, or want more info about them check out www.impalassforum.com

Hehe no prob dude.

I went for a boot in a bone stock 95 Buick Roadmaster with a 260hp LT1 and I was impressed.

Thats why I want one.

I don't think they make 4.3L LT1s.

Absolutely. Same intake/tb. Same fuel rails, but 19 lb/hr injectors.
Engines look externally the same as an LT1.

AdioSS already mentioned it above. These were available in some 94-96 Caprice cars.
