What is your oil pressure at idle?
What is your oil pressure at idle when your engine is warmed up? Mine is a little under 20 psi. Is this too low? I have a 95 Z with 5w-30 Moblie 1 synthetic. Thanks for any help.

The 94 is alittle over 20 PSI but the 96 is between 30 and 40 at idle.

With the oil fully warmed up and the transmission in drive, I see about 18psi on the gauge.
M6 cars should see a higher idle oil pressure since their idle speed is higher (800rpm vs 550 for the A4) Their oil pressure at idle should be closer to 30psi. |
have a 97 lt1 and im runnin' royal purple with ~25 psi. well over 50 when at 4k rpm. i dont push her over 4k that often.

My M6 95 Z fully warmed up runs a little under 20 psi also. I think we are good.

96 LT1 M6 - 5w30 and when warmed up or hot, my pressure reads a little below 20.
20w50 for roadracing oil press reads a little above 20 at idle when warm/hot. jason |
My M6, when it's all heated up, is about 35 or 38PSI @ idle.

I've got 20psi also. Your fine.

only when some riced out vw or honda pulls up next to me, but i live in nj. everyone i see has a sweet ride like a lexus or a beater car with the exceptional few.

The average idle PSI is 22 for most Lt1 F-bodys... 20 PSI is fine.
