couple of quick questions are you guys taking out your back seat to get rid of the weight is the first question the next is i've never been to the track so i was wondering if there are any special safety items i need in my car i.e. 5-point harness, roll bar before the will let me run it

i took out my back seats so wont be a taxi . . ifi already got one passenger ill be like awww man i gota 2 seater lol plus it makes it a little bit lighter . . take out the jack and spare too

 

As long as you stay out of the 11s you dont need rollcage or harnesses or fire extinguisher or battery cutoff or any of that stuff. if you manage to hit 13s though some tracks will make you wear a helmet, just take one incase. goodluck. and in my opinion dont waste your time taking that BS out, youll gain maybe a tenth if you were really really lucky.

 

jonaddis84 is right. Here in KC they make you wear a helmet if you are runnin 13's......its crap, but hey thats the only track near me....and its STILL 30 minutes away

 

That's not just your track...all NHRA tracks should require you to wear a helmet once you hit 13s. Its a NHRA rule. There are some tracks that make you wear helmet regardless of what you run...even if you run 16s.
