What would you do ?
OK I have a GMC truck with a supercharged 383CI LT1. I have pulled the FAST XFI out and it currently has a 93 Corvette computer in it. I am pulling the motor to part it out, and dropping in a 96 Corvette LT1 with a hot cam kit in it. I am getting the complete 96 motor, accy, wiring, radiator, tranny, etc. The 96 motor is freshly rebuilt and has never been started.
Would you:
A) Keep the 93 wiring/computer and get a new chip burned for the hot cam and headers.
B) Use the 96 wiring/computer as is for now, and get a custom tune for it later.
and why? I will be doing this in the next week or two so I have some time to decide and plan out what I am going to do.
