what will tuning do?

what will tuning do?

just got finished putting in a hotcam. rr etc. the idle is pretty rough and when i'm driving and rpm's are at or below 1500 it is also rough. what will tuning (pcmforless) do for me? and should i get it? will it clear up my problems?

Yes, it will solve your rough idle problems. A reprogram basically corrects your Air/Fuel ratio which gives you more power. The Hotcam is a pretty small CAM and with headwork I don't believe you'll see much of a gain.

Maybe 20 to 30 RWHP.

Yes. Headwork will net you more. Not sure about exact numbers. There is a site somewhere that has a dyno printout comparing before and after Hotcam numbers.

Sorry, I mean you'll probably net a total increase of 20-30 HP compared to a stock CAM and lifters.
