I just went to the local hardware store with a header in hand and bought 2 brass caps that would screw on.

That's for stock manifolds, SLP require caps not plugs.

Heres a link. Is this what you are talking about?

Scroll down a lil bit and you will see the block off plates.

SJM Manufacturing, Inc

Did you just put the plugs in and that was it or did you use something to seal the edges too?

ha, woops..i guess it is time for me to go home and get off work...I've seen guys crimp and bend the aluminum tube and then neatly apply JB weld or something. If you have a slp cai or air inlet thingy on your intake...use a cap and jb weld it.

Well, when I had my SLP's I used a cap from MBA. Looks very good also, in fact I think I still have them..I could sell them to you for cheap if you want.

Mine have 3/4" galvanized pipe caps from Home Depot. They are the single cat (94-95) variety, so it might be different. I saw somebody here say that Home Depot is a great place for car parts if you have some imagination...

They're 3/4 fine thread so you could weld together 2 nuts and get 2 plugs or short bolts.
