I just brought a 97 SS with 108,000 miles besides changing oil & filter what other pm is needed, plugs&wires what about valve springs? And if I change springs do the valve seals need to be done as well? I know the springs can be changed on the car what about the seals.
Or is all of that a huge waste of time.

 

The seals can be changed in the car, but it shouldn't be necessary unless the car is burning oil. The springs should be alright as well. I'd probably have all the fluids changed including the antifreeze/coolant, the tranny fluid and filter, the rearend fluid (don't forget the posi additive if so equipped), and a new fuel filter.
