Just from My experiance with the opti, I would say first check your wires make sure they were put back on correctly and that none were damaged and are arching. then just start the process of elination over again coil, ICM, plugs ect.

If I'm not mistaken, alternator noise like that is usually a bad ground. Only takes a few minutes to check them. I would suppose some bad plug wires could emit interference that might be picked up.

When was the last time you changed your plug wires? Sounds like they could be due for a change. Does the problem seem worse in wet weather? That is usually a tell tale sign.

stereo noise

Usually when you get noise in the speakers like the engine winding its because your power wire to your amp and the input (the rca cables) are to close together. They need to be ran on the opposite side of the car from one another.
