I was using ARP thread sealer on them, but that was letting oil through, I guess it wasn't ment to hold up in a vacuum condition or something. Should I cleam them out real good and use RTV instead?

I heard about some leaks with the ARP so I used no2 non-hardening sealant on mine.

Never had a problem with ARP, might try some Permatex sealant.

I think the problem is loose valve guides, not the rocker studs...

The seals and guides were replaced around 3000 miles ago.

+1 - that ARP thread sealer is junk, use Permatex #2

What about on the head bolts? And how would it affect the torque reading for torquing them?

I thought I would just bring this up to the top, I got the intake manifold off yesterday and it was definatly sucking oil in through the rocker studs. Where can I pick up the #2 permatex? I didn't see it on summit racing, would the parts store carry it?

Most parts stores carry Permatex products.

Yep, #2 is the ticket.

I always use it on both the rocker studs and head bolts. In fact, I used it on the 388 LT1 engine I just fired for the first time a couple of days ago.
