What is the horsepower and torque limit of a 2 bolt main LT1 block??

Can the use of ARP bolts and fastners make it as strong as 4 bolt mains?

I want to use the motor for AutoX and roadracing, not so much drag racing and living life less than 13 seconds at a time.

 

depends on how its built. you could always throw some splayed 4 bolt mains in it.

 

Just get your block machined for 4 bolt main caps. It generally runs from $200-300 for the machine work and you can find Eagle main caps for $90 at Jegs or Summit. A main gurdle and ARP studs would strengthen it significantly but one of those and the studs would run you $220+ so I would advise you to wait and get the machine work done.

edit: Sorry I didn't really answer you question. A 2-bolt block with good bolts/fasteners/studs is good for apx. 500 lbs.ft. but since your considering Auto X-ing I would suggest those numbers to be pretty optimistic, I would say under those conditions probally 15-20% less(~400-425). Try putting basic info about your car and the modifications done to it in your signature.
