OK, blew the orig LT1. Nice motor, hung in there but had to part ways so..........What do you think? I am looking for a nice street rod, streetable with more ponies than stock. I have read alot about 383 stroke, 355, and the 4 bolt 350 built up. I am not going to go totally cheap, but can't afford more than about $4k on the motor alone (long block crate). I am also looking at adding a lightweight flywheel and heavy duty clutch. I am also concerned about damage to the stock rearend. Can anyone give me an idea on a good package or at least a starting point? I want to keep my options open for spray or SC in the future. Right now, the only other mods I could put on the "crate" motor would be a bigger TB (along with mods in my sig). I would like to look at all my options if anyone has experience.
