What do you guys think of this
I am thinking once I get hookers I am going to have a local shop make a dual setup that has side pipes... I will get them out the side in front of the rear wheels with some stainless z28 tips because they are flat and thin so they may fit, we are going to get it up on a lift and see what we can do but the lower control arm and subrfames are in the way damnit so we will see. Either way its gonna be low as hell to the ground since my car is already lowered and im getting some trans am rocker moldings and rear bumper and front ground effects kit so it should look even lower. Anyone done something like this just wonderign I think it would look BADASS with side pipes.
I've seen something like that done on a 3rd Gen Z28. He had it only exit the passenger side though since he wasn't running true duals, but he did use the stock square Z28 exhaust tip. I thought it looked pretty cool, but like you mentioned ground clearance suffered.
I avoid speed bumps as it is so I dunno how much trouble I would really have with pipes only 2 inches, if that, from the ground... ill just pay attention to bumps when I drive now and see if there is anywhere I would have trouble... maybe a city titty but I dont hit those ever or speed bumps, thats all I can think of that will give me trouble.
maybe less than routing it over the axle. This guy is supposed to be THE BEST and has been doing this over 30 years so he is a little pricey but EVERYONE recomends him. I mean he does a true dual setup for like 500, ouch, but ide pay it and it might not cost more than that since instead of dumping the exhaust before the rear just bend it to the side and out before the rear wheels. Gonna take the car in to have him see what he can do next week and Ill post what he can do if anyone wants.
