Speaking of high LT1 horsepower, I went to Super Chevy show today in Pomona California. I asked one guy about his LT4 setup on his 95 Z28 and he told it made 491 horse power to the tire! I found this hard to believe; especially when he told me his combo.

I asked him his set up. He told me the following:

CAI K&N
1300 cfm AS&M throttle body
Ported LT4 intake
"regular" sbc heads mated to the LT4 manifold. Flow: 300 cfm
AS&M mid length headers full exhaust

NA; No nitrous; No Blower; No Free fall!


When I asked him the cam specs, he replied: "Well its obviously pretty big to make 491 rear wheel."

Oh, did I mention its a "stock bottom end 350 on pump gas?"

I bet it is stock. I bet he also used to drive a Honda.

 

Does he have a turbonator on order to bump him up to 600 rwhp?

 

Probly not, there on backorder. I be he has the tornado and gets 42mpg though!

 

Turbonator ??? Is that one of those rediculous electric superchargers I seen in like all the ricer magazines?

 

I think it's possible, somebody made 500 rwhp with LT4 heads/intake with a hydraulic roller and a 383, his name is Ed Wright, yes the guy from fast chip.

You are not going to get 500 RWHP unless you have a hell of alot more than what you mentioned in the post AND I seriously doubt that you will ever know what those extra things are. JMHO
