wodering if relocation of battery, ac removal, front sway bar, will help track times, or make a diff in anything, of if anyone has tried it, ?? just wodering thanks

sway barlets the front flex a little more so better weight transfer.

ac isnt that much weight, maybe 20 lbs???

batteries arent too heavy 40-50 lbs???

70 lbs wont be a whole lot. if the extra weight in the back helps your 60 ft times out thats where youll see the difference.

Do you mean drag race track times? I can't help you there, although I assume that the difference is less then it is on a road course due to the benefits of lower weight on braking and cornering as well.

I have a 95 Z28 road course car and it weighs out at 3304 on street tires on my corner scales - that's without me in the car. My hoosiers on the same brand of wheels (Forgelines) weigh 8 lbs less per corner for a race weight of around 3275 pounds.

I have installed a 'dry cell' battery, driver's race seat, removed the spare tire and jack, removed the AC compressor (installed the 1LE pulley), AC condenser, stereo, drivers and passenegers seat belts (I installed 5 point harnesses), changed to a lift off fiberglass hood, and removed the rear seats. I still have all the carpeting and power windows.

I have installed a four point roll bar which added 60 pounds back in, and the total weight savings is about 125 pounds. I'm a little over a second a lap faster now (PIR), which is significant in my opinion.

That is correct.

Any weight you can remove off of the front is very good for drag racing purposes b/c it helps with weight transfer. If you didnt want to move your battery to the rear, you could always switch to a light weight battery.
