Water Pump???

My camaro seems to be getting pretty hot lately. I have a new radiator and I have blead the valves to release the air. I also have my fans bypassed to turn on when I turn the key. I pulled open the part to see check my thermostat and noticed it was missing. I had another LT1 in the past before and never had a problem with the setup I just menitoned. However, I did replace the water pump on my last camaro. I was just wondering if my water pump is bad on this car. The pump does not make any noise whatsoever. Does the pump have to make weird noise to be bad? What other things should I look at? The temp reaches pretty high up there when the a/c is running on a hot day and only if I'm in stop and go traffic. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The first thing you should do is install a thermostat.

I do remember you saying this in a post a couple weeks back. Could this really increase the temperature if the thermostat is not in place. I never had a problem with this setup with my other LT1. Thanks for your reply shoebox.

Re: Water Pump???

Check that the water pump is circulating water by opening the radiator cap when car is cold.
I agree with shoebox, by putting in a thermostat you give more time for the water in the radiator to cool.
