water pump

Anyone ever change a water pump on a '95 Z28? Is it anything like the older style 350/305 engines? Any little things I need to know about? Thanks.

try not to spill coolant down the motor, other than that its about a 30 minute job or so.

My father and I just replaced our 94 Z28's last night, and I admit it was a pain in the @$$. The main problem is that you have to take off just about the whole front of the car to get to it (lol), but of course, he knows more than I do...

Yeah, it will definately take you a few hours; take your time and do it right. I replaced mine on my 94'Z; wasn't too bad, but took WAY longer than 30 minuntes!

it's not hard at all and it really shouldn't take you that long. but then again when your tear the whole front end apart to do the opti the water pump job seems really easy .

I wish it was just a 30 minute job. Took me and a friend around 2-3 hours. Not difficult as stated above, just time consuming. You may want to get different clamps than the OEM clamps when putting everything back together; just in case you get a pump that doesn't hold up well and you have to pull it and put in another one. Guess how I know this.
