Voltage drop

Sitting at ATM, I notice my check gauge light is on. My voltage dropped to 10, still running But i didn't want to get stuck on the highway, so I pulled over and shut it off. Car will not start, i'm getting 10 volts still.
I purchased the alternator from the classified on here, it was new. Its only been used about a month. Is that my problem? battery is always dead after 2 days of sitting also.

Re: Voltage drop

Get battery and alternator tested. Sounds like the alt is no good.

Re: Voltage drop

Car left me sit so I came home and just took the alternator off the Camaro. I'm going to swap them and see what happens.
