Valve ?

I had a strange sqeeking noise after i replaced the heads , I put all new parts on these heads there stock no changes except some light porting . You can see in the pic that only one of the valves has some wear across the top enough to take the black paint off of it this is the only one and iam sure this is the sound iam hearing . Also do you think it would cause any valve damage ? I checked everything measured the push rods even checked the distance of the studs to the valves all the same ? any help questions would be appreciated because iam stumped

Did you properly lube the surface? Squeaking is a sound metal makes when it's binding. If you did not lube it properly, you may hear this sound.

A lot of engine builders use moly lube on the tip of the pushrod and on top of the valve. If you did not do this, it could be causing the squeak and it's not what you want.

I used royal purple max tuff assembly lube on all my parts during my rebuild and did not hear a tick, although I have seen others say to use moly on these parts only, as it's more durable and is better for breaking in parts such as like what you have posted.

I'm assuming the rockers were properly adjusted and not too tight as well.
