I like method #2. When each piston is at TDC, both valves closed, you can adjust both rockers. Then turn the crank 90* and proceed to the next cylinder in the firing order.

Basically, the valve will line up with the runner/port it is used for, but it goes like this:

Front* Ex, In, In, Ex, Ex, In, In, Ex *Back

Thanks for the input Ya'll. I know it sounded like a dumb ? but I wasn't sure.......and Shoebox I assume that that sequence is the same to both sides....and also I noted that you have previously said that it doesn't really matter if the enging is warm or runing because of a spring that is putting pressure on the pushrod. Am I correct. I adjusted them before and they are a little off....dag gum roller rockers..everyone seems to like them but have a little trouble adjusting them.......I'm adjusting them again because they are still making some noise....no clattering just a ticking sound.... So how much noise should they make if any at all?

The heads are symmetrical, so they look the same on both sides.

Roller rockers will click a little more than the stock ones. As far as hot or cold, it does not make any difference as far as pressure within the lifter, but it can make a small difference because of thermal expansion of the metal pieces. That said, in my mind, it can't be that crucial since people use preload ranging from 1/4 turn to 3/4 or more.
