You can do it! You'll just need a whole other LT1 car to make the swap basically. In reality you're better off finding an LT1 car than buy that 3.4. NJ should have plenty of LT1/LS1 f-bodies for sale.
It's not fun doing a swap like that. And I doubt you'll find another LT1 parts car for the swap really really cheap. Just doesn't make sense to me, buy an LT1 equipped car and call it a day.

well iam doing a project car.i dont plan on driving it for like 2 years.i wanna do a stroker motor and what not.so i dont really need another donor car.but other then motor/trans/engine harnest wat do i need.what wiring needs to be done? v8 kmember/front suspension?
I'm afraid you don't really know what you're getting yourself into. You'll need more than you think. Here's a list of what I could think of:
fully assembled LT1 Engine w/ Optispark, waterpump, oil pan etc.
PCM
Wiring harness w/ all sensors
New 150 mph gauge cluster
4L60E tranny w/ all corresponding parts or T56 w/ all hardware
Radiator
front suspension off LT1 car
brakes
rear end off LT1 car w/ appropriate gearing
LT1/LS1 driveshaft w/ neccesary mating (shorten if using LS1)
I also think you need a gast tank as I believe the V6 tank is smaller (could be wrong)
Thats all I can think of off the top of my head. You are looking at countless hours of frustration, bleeding knuckles, and swearing on top of a really hefty amount of $$$. You are better off finding a 4th gen with a blown engine or high-mileage and transplanting your stroker in. I really don't know why anyone would do anything other than that, unless you had a trash bodied 4th gen LT1 with an engine w/ tranny in good condition that you bought for a "steal" to transfer to a V6

Alot of those factory parts can be acquired dirt cheap from the classifieds on this forum or Ebay. There have been countless cases where some of that stuff is just being given out for free. If this is going to be a project car that is slowly turing into a high performance car, you could even look into skipping around some factory stuff. Maybe look into doing some of the suspension upgrades now, aftermarket rearend instead of a factory one, ect. All depends on what you want to spend and what you want to do with the car.

someone whoses thinking like me!!!
I'm doing a LT1 swap in a '94 V6 3.4 It's not easy and it's not cheap. You have to be patient and jump on good deals when they come up. I bought the V6 from a friend for 1800, then I found a wrecked 95 Lt1 Z28 and bought the entire car for 1300, it included all the suspension parts, gauge cluster, drive shaft, springs, cradle, fuel pump and fuel tank, ECM etc. We ripped the engine and other parts out on Sunday, and decided that since it's out we'll make it a stroker. That's going to be another 2000 for all the gaskets, pistons, crank and little things. Unless you're doing the work yourself, you're looking at maybe 60 hours of labor. You'll drop a good 7000 easy on it and that's if you be patient like i said. Anyway, it's not easy, but it's a lot of fun. We spent 10 hours pulling off everything from the wrecked Z, it's the best way I've ever spent a Sunday! Hope this helps you out a little.

geez 10 hours to rip everything out ? how many guys were working on that ?
i have triple that easy just doing some performance upgrades let alone pulling the drivetrain, but then again im alone and take my time.
I have a question. Is there something specific you like about the LT1 that's precluding you from dropping in an LSX powertrain? I know this is the LT1 forum, I have an LT1 and it's a pretty darn good piece, but I know I'd have a good 100 more hp with the same mods on an LSX. If you're going to put in that kind of work/money, you might as well get the most out of it IMHO.
Sean, you shoulda just pmed me lol.
to go from a 93 v6 to a 94 lt1 you NEED to swap.
Complete 94 lt1 motor, transmission, PCM, fusebox harness, Dash harness to get it running.
K-member from a 93-97 z28 (motor mount bolt pattern is different)
Radiator and fans
gauge cluster
It's not necessary but to do it right you should also swap...
The rear end
upgrade your fuel pump 255lpm v6 pump flows less then the v8.
front shocks/springs rear springs
driveshaft
and thats all i can think of ATM, buy you have my cell #. I'm finishing my 95 v6 to 94 lt1 swap now.

Just two of us, and no lift. We had it a little easier becuase the front end was cut at the radiator. I'll try to post some pics of the work as it progresses if ya'll are interested.
